I'm a new member and I just upgraded my '06 xB with a new Hotchkis TVS Stage 1 suspension and now have a set of stock springs and front sway bar to get rid of. They only have 10K miles and look almost new (less the dirt). The sway bar does have the original bushing but would recommend buying new ones as you'll have things tore down anyway.
If anyone has a need for these, let me know and they can have them for the price of a drive to Olathe.
Please respond via email. If no takers in the next week, will end up trashing them.

As there are no takers, I'll be setting these out for trash on Thursday.

This is the stock unit from the front. It is a twisted hollow bar that joins the front suspension so that when one side is pushed down in a turn, the other side is lifted up to help prevent roll.
As this stock on all xA and xB units, unless you want something to play with, there is not much use. Of course, if you want to remove one and put in a softer unit, this may be something you'd want. Another option is to take this, paint it a different color, and then replace the old stock unit with a "prettier" one. I will tell you that replacing the front sway bar is not for anyone. It took me about 3 hours to get to it and remove it. It took another 1-2 hours to put things back together. Now that I've done one, it would go a lot faster. Still, this thing winds it way through the front end in a way that is not easy to get to.
If you're thinking about a paint upgrade, the springs might be a good thing to have as they are a lot more visible than the sway bar. Together, they could make a nice statement.
If you look at any anti-sway bar upgrade kits for the xB, you'll see what they look like. The upgrades are usually bigger in diameter and don't have as much flex.
Hope this answers all your questions. As I wasn't sure just want you were wanting, I gave you the classic novel version.

Steph,
PS. One thing you will need to be aware of. If you do a sway bar swap, you will need to have the front end re-aligned. You have to basically unbolt the entire front suspension to remove the unit which means that not everything will line back up when you reassemble.
Also, the springs can be done much easier and I'd be happy to loan out my spring compression tool (necessary for the front springs).

Well, if you are interested in the front sway bar, I'll hold on to it for a while. Its not hurting anything where its at so no big deal.
Just let me know. Also, I took a look at it today and I found that the wife threw out one of the bushings so I was mistaken that I had both bar and bushings. Looks like only the bar and one bushing is still here. I guess I should learn not to leave things laying around near the trash can in the future.

Sure do. They are cheap, about $20. The one I have is the two part type and it is cheap but does the jop. If you happen to have an impact gun, it really helps.
Right now, I'm out of commission for a while so if you want to use it, you'll have to come get it. I won't be out and about for another few weeks.

What I meant by cheap is that you may just want to buy your own as it amy be just as easy as trying to chase one of us down.
Of course, if you need to use them, you are welcome. By then, I hope to be back in the swing of things. Looks like it won't be until sometime in Feb. or even Mar. at the current pace of the progress.
